Description
QT Series generators are a reliable, cost-effective backup power solution for commercial establishments and small businesses. There are more than ten models to choose from, ranging in output from 20 to 150 kilowatts, plus an array of automatic transfer switches . These compact, powerful gensets are ideal for a broad range of enterprises, including restaurants, convenience stores, supermarkets, banks, fitness centers, hotels, and retail outlets.
All QT models are available with two fuel choices – natural gas or liquid propane (LP) vapor. Kilowatt ratings are based on LP fuel (power output may be slightly less with natural gas):

Three Ways Better —QT Series products are environmentally friendly, surprisingly quiet, and amazingly affordable.
Environmentally Friendly — Gaseous-fueled QT generators are superior to diesel models because there are absolutely no concerns about diesel fuel storage, spillage, spoilage or odor. Emissions are significantly less and environmental concerns are minimized.
Quieter by Design —All QT models feature a sound attenuated enclosure designed and manufactured by Generac. Special consideration has been given to internal components such as fans and radiators to ensure maximum cooling effectiveness and reduced fan noise. The enclosure is also lined with a high-tech material to provide increased sound absorption.
Generac’s exclusive Quiet-TestT feature – for which this innovative line has been named – means ultra-quiet operation during the unit’s weekly self-testing period. When normal utility power is present, Quiet-TestT allows the engine to run at reduced speeds, making it as quiet as a car at idle. This is especially important in areas where residences or other businesses are nearby.
During the weekly self-testing procedure, QT generators produce sound levels that range from 57 to 62 dBA at 7 meters, a reading that is comparable to conversational speech. At full load the generators are in the 69 to 76 dBA range, still among the quietest in the industry.
Amazingly Affordable — QT Series generators are surprisingly affordable. They’re designed and engineered for maximum value, making them ideal for businesses that previously regarded standby generators as too expensive.
Having standby power allows a business to keep operating whenever utility power is lost. This means a protected revenue stream and avoidance of expensive losses – so a QT generator might actually pay for itself during the first extended outage. Investing in a QT Series genset is a wise business decision.
QT Series Modular Power Systems – 200 to 1500 kW — For greater power requirements, two QT Series models (MQT 100 and 150 kW) are available with optional onboard paralleling capabilities as part of Generac’s Modular Power System . Multiple units of the same kW rating can easily be paralleled and combined to satisfy higher kilowatt needs without expensive paralleling switchgear. Modular QT systems are a superior alternative to traditional single engine natural gas generators because of their ability to satisfy requirements up to 1500 kW at a much lower cost – with the additional advantages of flexibility, scalability and redundancy.
